The article discusses the enforcement trends and challenges to combat corruption in three developing countries in Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, and the middle-income countries of Malaysia and Thailand. It says that the 2012 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) ranked Indonesia at 118th, the Philippines at 105th, and Thailand at 88th. It mentions the low foreign direct investments (FDI) in the Philippines, and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act. |
