In this article the authors discuss an increase which has been seen in Canada in the incidence of community associated methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) in soft tissue infections, including cellulitis. In the article the authors reflect on the differences between community acquired MRSA and health care associated MRSA and offer their opinions on the role that antibiotic stewardship can play in preventing MRSA. |
