| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses a study on prevention of sudden cardiac death (SCD) through emergency planning and automated external defibrillators (AED) in high schools of Vermont. Topics included AEDs placement in public access locations showed survival benefits, AED training received by 77 percent school nurses, schools coordination with local emergency medical services (EMS) for AED placement. The study suggests the placement of at least one AED in more them two third of the total high schools. |
