SUMMARY Three cases of renal cell carcinoma of the kidney with massive arteriovenous fistulas are presented with emphasis on the cardiovascular and radiological features. An awareness of the existence of these massive arteriovenous fistulas in renal cell carcinoma, with cardiovascular manifestations, is important in proper diagnosis and management. The use of renal arteriography for establishing diagnosis of these cases is demonstrated. The value of nephrectomy to correct cardiovascular symptoms, even in patients with extensive disease, is pointed out. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
