Abstrakt: SUMMARY A case of prostatic carcinoma is described in which widespread metastases were associated with extreme elevation of the blood acid phosphatase and a waterhammer pulse. The phosphatase level and the raised pulse pressure returned to normal as treatment caused regression of the lesions. Possible mechanisms which may explain the vasomotor changes are discussed.
