Abstrakt: Two case studies of spasmodic dysphonia (abductor type) are presented with acoustic and aerodynamic documentation. The abductor type is characterized clinically as exhibiting intermittent moderate to severe breathiness accompanied by sudden drops in pitch. These phenomena are interpreted as intermittent abductor vocal fold spasms. Complete case histories including voice therapy and their results are presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
