The article profiles five of the African American physicians who volunteered to provide medical care to the Ninety-second and Ninety-third Infantry Divisions soldiers who fought during World War I including Royal William Grubbs, Frederick Alexander Stokes and Howard Randall Thompson. Biographical information is presented about their background, lives and accomplishments. It also mentions that these physicians have significant ties to Indiana. |
