The article presents information on a study which determined the manifestations of new prehistoric settlements in the Ciclova Montana region, Caraº-Severin County, Romania through the discovery of a well-preserved Bronze Age stone ax in 2010 and 2011. The morphological and technological character and functional role of the ax is highlighted. It discusses the link between the exploitation of the natural resources from the area and ax discovery as an indicator of the existence of culture. |
