| Abstrakt: |
The article presents the authors' comments on the current debate regarding antibiotic use for the treatment of acute otitis media (AOM) in children. It discusses the evidence both for and against antibiotic use in children with AOM. The issues surrounding the overuse of antibiotics in AOM are addressed. It recommends the American Adademy of Pediatrics (AAP) guideline which offer a more structured approach that will lead to appropriate treatment. |
