The article reports on the help rendered by Disabled American Veterans (DAV) volunteers to victims of the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma in May 2013. It states that the National DAV provided ill and injured veterans with disaster assistance vouchers for food, shelter and clothing, and that the Oklahoma Veterans Affairs Department and the American Legion joined in to create a multi-agency disaster center for veterans. Emergency aid grants were also distributed to them. |
