The article focuses on a study, which evaluates monoclonal antibodies or protein based pharmaceuticals by implementing capillary electrophoresis (CE) in order to govern the overall quality control (QC) process at Genentech Inc., a biotechnology corp. It discusses the CE technologies like capillary electrophoresis sodium dodecyl sulphate (CE–SDS), capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE), and capillary isoelectric focusing (CIEF) that can potentially replace a slab gel format technology. |
