The article offers the author's insights on the learning of grammar. She features insights on the definition of grammar such as the part of language concerned with unacceptable and acceptable forms according to Ronald Carter and Michael McCarthy. It says that the students learn grammar as an acquisition process, wherein a formal instruction of grammar do not develop language competence. It features stages to the process of teaching grammar which are structuring, noticing, and proceduralisation. |
