Abstrakt: We report on a high energy, all-fiber-based pulsed fiber laser in a master oscillator power amplifier configuration. The seed source is a Q-switched Yb3+-doped fiber laser, using an intra-cavity acousto-optic modulator driven by a commercial function generator. By means of two-stage cascaded amplification, we have achieved 2.4 mJ per pulse energy with pulse duration of several hundreds of nanoseconds. The repetition frequency is 50 kHz and 121 W high average power was obtained without any nonlinearities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
