The article discusses the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for January 2013, released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) of the Department of Labor (DOL). Changes in CPI data for all urban consumers on items which include food, energy commodities and transportation services are described. CPI for urban wage earners and clerical workers reportedly increased by 1.5 percent. It also outlines information on historical CPI data by commodity, service group and expenditure categories. |
