Abstrakt: A comparative biopharmaceutical study of modified-release tamsulosin capsules and Omnic preparation has been performed. The pharmacokinetic characteristics of the preparations have been assessed and the relative bioavailability has been determined. In vivo experiments have shown that absorption, distribution, metabolism, and clearance of tamsulosin administered as modified-release tamsulosin capsules (0.4 mg) or Omnic capsules (0.4 mg) are identical and, therefore, the formulations are biologically equivalent.
