An interview with John Restakis of the B.C. Cooperative Association (BCCA) in Vancouver, British Columbia is presented. He states that the book "Humanizing the Economy: Cooperatives in the Age of Capital" deals with the nature of cooperatives (co-op) as democratically structured organizations. He says that a co-op is an enterprise which is democratically controlled and collectively owned by its members for mutual benefit. He mentions that he was involved in community and social change works. |
