Abstrakt:	An interview with Colombian history teacher Armando Martínez Garnica is presented. He discusses his 32-year teaching career, the project of an historical archive at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia, and the curriculum of history in Colombian higher education. Particular focus is given to his retirement from teaching as well as his work on historical research.
