Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which was aimed to investigate the effects of two different power training loading schemes in Brazilian elite soccer players. The study included 32 players whose strength was evaluated before, at mid-point, and after 6 weeks of a preseason strength/power training. preseason. The study observed similar performance improvements when training intensity manipulation occured around only a small range within the optimal power training load.
