| Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the aviation fuel cost (ATF) that has been cut by an average of 250/kilolitre by the oil retailers of India and examines its impact on profitability for airlines and lower airfares and further reports on the cost of fuel in the Indian states Delhi and Kolkata. It presents views of various professionals of airline industry regarding the need for transparency in aviation turbine fuel pricing and impact of cut on airlines' operating costs and airline profit or loss.
