Abstrakt:	The article highlights the collection and the career of relic hunter Dick Hammond. Hammond started relic hunting in 1955 and his first find was a belt buckle. Hammond's wife Dolly shares his hobby and has herself dug up relics with her metal detector. Hammond's favorite find was a Virginia sword belt plate. His Civil War collection included several Confederate army belt plates.
