Investigates the effect of inoculation of iron oxidizing bacteria on elution of copper from anaerobically digested sewage sludge. Inoculation of iron oxidizing bacteria to the sludge bringing about the effective elution of copper at pH 2 and 3; Ferric iron produced by the biological oxidation of ferrous ion which was eluted from the sludge or ferric iron eluted directly from the sludge causing the elution of copper. |
