Abstrakt:	The article focuses on the British retail industry and consumer goods market. An expansion of the retail market has been forecasted from an estimated 515 billion dollars in 2012 378 billion pounds in 2017. The average inflation set to remain above its official 2% target rate throughout the forecast period. Retail sales growth in volume terms will average just 0.3% per year in 2013-17.
