ON SOME ACTIVE PROCESSES IN THE MODERN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE (BASED ON THE WORD «...» (A PARTY).

Abstrakt: At the turn of the 21st century, intensive processes occur both in the functioning of the Russian language and in its system. Linguistic changes stipulated by socio-cultural factors are reflected in particular words as well. The aim of this article is to consider some active processes in the modern Russian language, which become apparent in the functioning of a single word -- ... (a party). The following processes stand out as most pronounced: word usage activation in the field of lexis; expansion and deepening of the lexical meaning of the word in semantics; expansion of the lexical and grammatical compatibility in the field of its compatibility; activation of productive word formation types in the field of word formation, compound names in particular; and writing variation of compound names with a foreign indeclinable component in the field of Russian writing. The material of study has been taken from Russian-language media in Lithuania, namely the newspaper '...-...' ('Express-week') for the period of the last few years as well as the web-site delfi.ru. The study has shown that active processes in the Russian language of the 21st century are most pronounced even in the functioning of a single word -- ... (party). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
