Solar energy is inexhaustible that can be obtained freely everywhere without shipping cost, which neither produces the environmental pollution nor causes the Earth's greenhouse effect, the security is far higher than other methods of power generation. To improve the solar tracking accuracy, a mixed sun-tracking system combines BFO (Bacterial Foraging Optimization) with PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm is developed, which is implemented in an ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) based system. Experiment results show that the proposed BFO-PSO algorithm enhances the output power of the solar cells up to 5%. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
