The aim of this study is to develop a new Smart Heat Therapy device that is able to expedite the process, increase the effectiveness and reduce the limitations of existing devices used in physiotherapy procedure to stimulate aching muscle due to improper blood circulation within certain parts of the body. This new compact, portable, economical and user friendly device will promote blood circulation by continuously applying low level heat energy to the body to enlarge the blood vessel at targeted area with water as the heating medium. The advanced feature of the device is its capability to deliver consistent amount of heat energy required for selected duration of therapy session prescribed to the patient. Hence the patient can select the temperature and time required during therapy session. The vital feature of the device is the incorporation of safety features that makes it suitable to be used under minimal supervision either in infirmaries or at home. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
