| Abstrakt: |
The article offers information on criticisms by speech educators in the U.S. on debate tournaments. It mentions that the first criticism is the absence of a real audience which makes public speaking impossible. It cites that the second criticism is that debate speaking becomes extremely specialized that makes little sense except to other debaters. It explains that the third one is that students are restricted to join arguments in support of positions which they may or may not believe in. |
