The article presents a discussion on the reimagining of life's possibilities as a strategy during the Lawrence Textile strike of 1912 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. It describes the songs created during the strike as intellectual work that allowed strikers a critique of the capitalist power structure and a reconception of the world of labor. The article concludes that song was significant element of proletarian revolt, power, and activity for and by the working class. |
