The article states that soil aeration helps in improving turfgrass soil compaction and also discusses the criterias measured in turfgrass compaction experiments in the U.S. It mentions that the impact of the different parts of aerification equipment was measured by soil resistance on soil compaction. It reveals that compaction lowers the aeration that increases macropores which limits soil aeration and also states that aerification does not necessarily eliminate thatch.
