The article features several prototype design proposals that use smart-surface technology. One is Openarch, a prototype smart home created by Spanish designer Ion Cuervas-Mons which links 5 projectors, two computers and two motion-sensing Microsoft Kinects. Another is the possibility on how users interact with their screens through elastic displays like the Obake which allows online shoppers to manipulate the silicone screen to replicate the experience of touching objects being viewed. |
