Abstrakt: |
The article discusses decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the Court case Miller v. Alabama regarding juvenile sentencing. In this case, the Court sentenced life imprisonment without the possibility of parole to Miller. It informs that tension between punitive social perceptions and juvenile rehabilitation came in focus when the Court asserted death penalty for juveniles. The Juvenile court provides rehabilitative alternates to punishment which was designed to provide criminal remedy. |
