| Abstrakt: | The article reflects on the importance of pre-test preparation of equipment and patients. It discusses the spirometry test which manifests the presence or absence of airflow obstruction in disease such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is mentioned that calibration and verification of equipment are required so as to maintain the readings accuracy. Also discusses the cleaning and infection control, and contraindications of patients for the pre-test preparation. |
