Systematic Literature Review in Open Source Software Maintainability.

Abstrakt: Background: Now days Open Source Software maintainability prediction has been the major issue due to the complexity of the technology whereby vendors and clients are two different groups with unknown profile. Aims: Performing Systematic Literature Review of Open Source Software in term of maintainability. Method: We employed the Standard Systematic Literature Review by implementing the random search for four (4) online digital libraries for journals and Conference proceedings. Results: 14 studies were uniquely approved to provide evidence on the approaches used to measure maintainability of open source software, results show that most researchers used MI and other like Linux project used common coupling. Conclusion: The study discussed SLR on maintainability and it identified that until now there are no standard approaches that can be used to measure the maintainability of open source software.
