The article discusses a paper on post hoc analysis of the Reduction by Dutasteride of Prostate Cancer Events (REDUCE) study. It discusses the efficacy of dutasteride in men with an enlarged prostate who are asymptomatic. The study included 825 men who took placebo, and 792 who took dutasteride. Evidence showed that during multivariable regression analysis, dutasteride significantly decreased the incidence of progression of benign prostatic hyperplasia. |
