Responding to accidental atomoxetine ingestion.

Abstrakt: The article presents information veterinary care for accidental atomoxetine ingestion, a drug used in human medicine to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is stated that clinical research on acute atomoxetine toxicosis in dogs and cats is minimal. If an animal has developed agitation or hyperactivity then acepromazine at a dosage of 0.02 mg/kg intravenously or intramuscularly can be administered for sedation.
