The article informs that genetic information related to single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) can be used to determine the breed and the ancestral information about the pigs. It highlights that the organization National Swine Registry (NSR) and Michigan State University is conducting a research to evaluate the role of SNP in determining the swine's ancestral linkage within the Landrace and Yorkshire breed. |
