Abstrakt: | A biography of scientist Mikhail Vasil'evich Lomonosov is presented. He was born in 1711 in the village of Denisovka, Russia. He traveled to Moscow, Russia in 1731, where he lied about his status as a peasant in order to enter the Slavo-Graeco-Latin Academy. He later traveled to Germany to study at the University of Marburg, where he began writing poetry. He returned to Russia in 1741, where he became a professor in the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences and Arts and studied geology. |
