The article discusses cyber crime and notes data from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) accounting firm's Global Economic Crime Survey. The article notes the sources of cyber threats, the existence of cyber risk in companies, and the availability of cyber risk protection insurance. Cyber theft and fraud such as phishing and pharming, industrial espionage, computer hacking, and insider cyberattacks by disgruntled employees are noted. Proposed changes to New Zealand's Privacy Act are also noted. |
