Abstrakt: |
The article discusses research which examined the reaction of hydratable alumina in the presence of different compositions of aluminum oxide and silicon nitride. Described to have a specific crystalline structure, hydratable alumina tend to yield pseudoboehmite gel before transforming to bayerite when mixed with water. It reports on the use of scanning electron microscopy and Vickers hardness testing for investigating compressive strength of microstructure compositions. |
