The article offers an overview of intrusion detection system (IDS) and the work being done to adapt them to the cloud. It states that advances in distributed computing, grid computing, and virtualization techniques led to the cloud computing industry model. IDS technologies are categorized by the types of monitored events and the ways in which they are deployed such as network-based, wireless, and network behavior analysis. Disadvantages of the existing cloud scenarios are discussed. |
