A mixed-signal chip for an Implantable retinal prosthetic device is presented in this paper. The chip consists mainly of RF front-end circuits and digital controller. In the proposed architecture, the energy is coupled from external frequency-shift-keying (FSK) signal and get a stable 3.3V voltage through low drop-out regulator(LDO). The information is also generate from FSK signal through demodulation circuit. The chip is fabricated in 0.5 μm standard CMOS process, chip area is 6.25mm2, the total power consumption is 10mW. Measurement results show that the performance is conformed to the basic requirements of the microstimlator, LDO can supply stable voltage when the input vary from 3.7V to 5.8V, FSK demodulation and digital controller can work well.
