Analysis of capacity expansion methods of battery energy storage system.

Abstrakt: Grid-connected wind power and photovoltaic are developing rapidly, their inherent intermittent and random adversely affect the safety operation of power grid. Large-scale battery energy storage technology can improve the output quality of wind power and photovoltaic and enhance intermittent energy access capabilities of the grid. But limited to the existing battery technology, most single battery voltage and capacity are relatively small. So it is necessary to make an analysis of the capacity expansion methods of battery energy storage system. The article respectively makes a comparative analysis of battery energy storage system capacity expansion methods and points out the advantages and disadvantages of different connection methods. Considering of the existing battery technology development level, proposes a more application prospect battery energy storage system capacity expansion method. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
