Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study which examined the effects of disrupting the bacterial cytoskeleton on the pathogenicity of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium. Two pathogenicity island-encoded type 3 secretion systems (T3SSs) are involved in the virulence of salmonella enterica. Information on cell shape-determinant proteins is provided. Results of the study showed that the bacterial cytoskeleton plays a role in the expression of the SPI-1 T3SS and flagella systems.
