Abstrakt: To allow an efficient assessment of lower limb alignment and hip fracture, 3D lower limb bone models are reconstructed from patient-specific computed tomography images. The 3D feature-construction system shown here automatically extracts 3D features (centers, auxiliary points, axes, and planes). No other work exists that automatically marks all the features for the lower extremities. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
