The article offers author's insight on river cop Edward Fite and how the policing Illinois river and taking over the Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission became his life's work. The author discusses the cases filed by Oklahoma to protect the river and the agreement between Oklahoma and Arkansas for upgrading the wastewater treatment plants since 2003. She also mentions that the future of the river is on the hands of politicians and its given priorities to preserve or abuse the river. |
