The article presents information on a study which analyzes the effectiveness of using ultraviolet radiation from fluorescent lamp, cold cathode lamp and light emitting diodes (LED) coupled with different kinds of nano-semiconductors as photocatalysts, in the removal of bacteria such as Escherichia coli from water. In this study, zinc oxide (ZnO) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) were used as photocatalysts. |
