| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses on determination of physiological function and expression of an insulin-like peptide, INS-17 in nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. It mentions that physiological function and expression of the peptide were analyzed by gene disruption and overexpression and results obtained were compared with that of INS-18. It was concluded that INS-17 regulates only larval diapause but not adult lifespan and functions as insulin receptor-like protein, DAF-2 antagonist. |
