| Abstrakt: |
The article deals with the history, use and types of, and unresolved issues relating to, chemical dispersants for the mitigation of oil spills in the ocean. The scientific data and research on chemical dispersants are provided in reports released by the U.S. National Research Council (NRC) prior to 2005 and white papers issued by the Coastal Response Research Center (CRRC) in 2012. Future research and development directions for the post-Deepwater Horizon (DWH) oil spill are offered. |
