The article discusses the history of donuts and the various forms its has taken through the years. It traces the beginning of the deep-fried dough, today called donut, from the book of Leviticus in the Bible in which it was ascribe to as an offering to God. It also describes the different variants of donuts of various places in Europe and America. The author shares that it was in the U.S. where the donut chain store started.
