The article discusses the risk of multiple sclerosis (MS) in monosymptomatic optic neuritis (MON) patients. It highlights the connection of abnormal cerebrospinal fluid findings (CSF) and the following risk of MS. It adds that to evaluate the relation among CSF findings and the developing of clinically definite MS (CDMS) in patients with MON the author has retrospectively studied cases on optic neuritis who went under lumbar puncture and cerebral magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). |
