Gene-Environment interactions in asthma: what we know today?

Abstrakt: This article discusses the role of gene-environment interactions in asthma. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 44% of the asthma burden worldwide is due to the environment. The article explores association studies that use genetic factors that look for statistical correlation between one or more genetic polymorphisms and a trait and presents summaries of studies that has assessed gene-environment interactions in asthma.
